Lauren Tetenbaum

Lauren A. Tetenbaum, LCSW, JD, PMH-C, is a social worker specializing in supporting women through life transitions. Through her counseling practice, Lauren provides therapy to women and couples in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Florida. She also facilitates groups and workshops to empower women in corporate settings and trains other mental health professionals on issues impacting women’s wellness, including peri/menopause.

A former lawyer, Lauren regularly contributes thought leadership on women’s rights through speaking engagements, writing, and digital media. Her areas of expertise include perinatal mental health, gender equity, working parenthood, and reproductive healthcare. Millennial Menopause: Preparing for Perimenopause, Menopause, and Life’s Next Period is her first book; acclaimed by menopause healthcare experts, women's rights advocates, and best-selling authors, it has been called a "a smart, relatable, and research-backed guide for women balancing careers, relationships, and caregiving while navigating hormonal change" by activist Eve Rodsky among other accolades.

Lauren received her BA (magna cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania before returning to her hometown of New York City to earn her MSW from New York University and JD from the Cardozo School of Law.
