Dr. Shefali Patel
Dr. Shefali Patel MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN who specializes in the full spectrum of gynecologic care, from adolescence through menopause and beyond. Dr. Patel stopped practicing obstetrics in 2008, allowing her to focus on gynecologic care only. In addition to routine gynecological care she now focuses on providing expert care in HPV management, PCOS, menopause and perimenopause management, hormone replacement therapy, fibroids, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and minimally invasive surgery. Her beautiful, boutique practice is equipped to offer in-office ultrasound, colposcopy, and uterine biopsies.
In addition to her superb clinical skills, Dr. Patel is praised by patients for her compassion and sensitivity. She looks to treat each patient holistically especially through the midlife transition of menopause. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Gujarati. She opened her solo private practice in Westfield in 2009 and remains an independent private practice.
Dr. Patel completed her undergraduate studies at City University of New York, Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Medicine in 1997. She earned her medical degree from the prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1999, followed by an internship and residency also at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Patel spends many hours a year in continuing medical education to continue to provide her patients with the most current medical care.
